Electro-Fi Recording Artists FATHEAD will be launching their brand new disc “Where’s The Blues Taking Me”

no comments

I was asked by the guys from FATHEAD if they could use one of my images for the cover of their up coming release of the new CD “Where’s The Blues Taking Me”. Well here it is! Thanks again guys. More information is below or on FATHEAD’S website or Hugh’s Room’s site. And I will see you on Feb 7, at Hugh’s Room.

Electro-Fi Recording Artists FATHEAD will be launching their brand new disc “Where’s The Blues Taking Me” at Hugh’s Room in Toronto on Sunday Feb. 7, 8:30pm.

The album features 14 brand new original songs plus a bonus track, a knockout version of Jackie Wilson’s big hit “Lonely Teardrops. This is one show you won’t want to miss!!! Advance ticket are $15/door $17. Reserve now! www.hughsroom.com

The album was produced by Juno Winner/musician Lance Anderson, engineered by Jeremy Darby (Canterbury Sound), and mixed by veteran engineer Nick Blagona. The latter two are names you probably wouldn’t know, but acts such as Mick Jagger, Squeeze, Gerry Rafferty (remember Baker Street?), The BeeGees, Deep Purple, Tony Bennett, plus many, many more knew them well and used them as engineers. Their involvement here has resulted in a fantastic sounding disc that has captured FATHEAD at their very best.

This 2x Juno Award winning band has played the top blues rooms, concert halls and music festivals from coast to coast. In 2010 FATHEAD will be touring extensively in support of “Where’s The Blues Taking Me”. Look for them in a town near you.

Al Lerman wanted some new images for press releases and fans taken. We were a little rushed with time as the guys were rehearsing that night, so we just went to a local spot for a couple of images. You can checkout Fathead’s website for upcoming shows, pictures or to book them for your event!

They will be going into the recording studio mid-September to record their new album to be released late fall or early winter. More images of them are on my website under People.[mbs slideshow=1]

This morning John with taken to hospital with an unknown condition. I hope that John is doing well and gets better soon. Promo shot has been pushed back until John’s better.

Al Lerman sent an email to me late tonight saying that John is home and resting well, he apparently has a stomach or intestinal infection. We all hope John has a speedy recovery.

FATHEAD…

The name-term FATHEAD does not reflect this group of amazing musicans in anyway shape or forum! As you can see from these images, they like to joke around… but…

When they hit the stage, they turn it on, and turn it up! If you missed them here this weekend, look them up, find a venue where they are playing and enjoy.

See my website for more images of them.
